Alresford Town manager Richard Luffman will serve the first of his two-game stadium ban this evening after being sent off last month.

The passionate boss received his marching orders in the Magpies’ 4-1 defeat at Fleet Town in the North Hants Senior Cup.

Sixth-placed Alresford host third-placed Portland United tonight in an important Sydenhams Football League Clash, but Luffman will have to hand over the reins to assistant Ryan Doswell.

Alresford are level on points with Horndean, a place above them, although have three games in hand.

The ex-Otterbourne manager will also miss Saturday’s fixture when Alresford travel to Lymington Town.
