Boss Quits AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Following Tuesday night’s ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division defeat against….

…..Desborough Town at the Dog & Duck, Mark Starmer has tendered his resignation from the position of manager AFC Rushden & Diamonds which the Board of Directors has accepted.

The club have placed on record their sincere thanks to Mark Starmer for his instrumental role in the reformation of the club and for guiding the senior team to promotion in the 2012/13 season.

He leaves the club with everyone’s best wishes for the future.

Andy Peaks has been offered the role of caretaker-manager, which he has accepted.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are interested in receiving applications for the role of senior manager.

Starmer`s resignation follows hot on the heels of the departure Craig Adams as boss of ground landlords Wellingborough Town to take up the managerial position at Bedford Town – meaning both groundsharers became managerless on the same day!
