Jon Brady, manager of Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division club Brackley Town, has added Michael Pook to his squad.

The 25-year-old started his career at Swindon Town, coming through their academy and made 109 League and cup appearances for them, scoring three times.

He then moved on to Cheltenham Town and recorded sixty-four games for them, scoring six goals, including a treble inside the last 10 minutes in Cheltenham’s incredible 6-5 win against Burton Albion last season.

Since being released by the Robins, Pook has been on trial with Blue Square Bet Premier side Forest Green Rovers.

Brady said: “Michael Pook will give us more strength in depth to the squad. He’s still only 25 but will add more to our midfield in terms of his passing and he can score goals.”
