Burnley Chance for Young Fenman

ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division club Wisbech Town`s young striker Harry Limb is to join Premier League side Burnley on an eighteen-month contract, with an option on a further year.

He impressed in a trial last Saturday, starting and scoring in a 4-0 win against Barnsley.

The 17-year-old formerl Boston United academy graduate will join the Turf Moor outfit immediately and link up with their development side for a match against Sunderland on Monday.

In return, Burnley will be sending a team to the Elgoods Fenland Stadium to play a pre-season friendly in July.

Limb scored 22 goals in forty games for the Fenmen, including two hat-tricks.

Wisbech manager Dick Creasey was unsurprisingly delighted for Limb: “Since joining us at the start of the season, his record speaks for itself but on top of that he’s a great young boy who has felt at home here and everybody must take a certain amount of pride in what he has achieved.

“Burnley were not the only club wanting his signature and there were a few other League clubs ready to offer him a contract but Harry chose Burnley”.
