Gary King’s lob inside the opening minute was enough to send Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division Cleethorpes Town to Wembley for the first time in the club`s history.

King’s goal gave the Owls a 1-0 win on the day and a 2-1 win on aggregate, inflicting Midland League First Division visitors Bromsgrove Sporting’s first defeat of the season at The Bradley Football Development Centre

The Owls will face ambitious Ebac Northern League First Division side South Shields in the Buildbase FA Vase Final on May 21st.

Shields beat Midland League Premier Division outfit Coleshill Town 4-0 in the second leg of their semi-final at Mariners Park.

Leading 2-1 after the first leg, the home side found the breakthrough as Julio Arca blasted into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

That took the wind out of Colehill’s sails and South Shields killed the tie just after the hour-mark as Gavin Cogdan neatly lobbed the keeper after being slipped through.

Carl Finnigan and David Foley wrapped it up late on.
