Meet the Editor in Chief

Well-known as editor of nonleaguedaily for eleven years, Steve began his journalistic career as editor of Team Talk magazine, taking over from another stalwart of the grassroots game, Tony Williams in 1992, having spent many years previously contributing to Tony`s `bible`, the Non-League Directory.
When Team Talk was merged with the newly-formed Non-League Paper in 1999, Steve took on the task of building up a website to accompany the paper as well as being a popular columnist every Sunday.
Steve is a former Swansea and Kettering Town defender who also had spells with Rushden Town, Raunds, Biggleswade Town, Burton PW and Burton United, where he was player-manager.
He has also been managing at under-18 level since 1984 and won several league titles and cup successes with the likes of Kettering, Rothwell Town, Desborough Town, Wellingborough Town and Rushden & Higham United and also took charge of UCL side Irchester United.
Steve took over as director of football at Wellingborough Town in 2005 and then to Rushden & Higham in a similar role in November 2008 before being appointed as chairman at Hayden Road in August 2009.
