The BBC have confirmed that the Emirates FA Cup tie between South Shields and Bridlington Town will be shown live coverage via their online channels writes Tom Feaheny.
The tie will take place on Saturday lunchtime at Mariners Park. Both sides will get a £1,000 fee from the BBC.
The fixture is the second tie of this season’s competition to be shown on the BBC’s digital channels.
Two weeks ago they were at Litherland REMYCA for their 2-0 win against AFC Liverpool, with the game streamed live across BBC Sport’s digital platforms, allowing audiences to watch the game live on PC, mobile or connected TV. The tie will also be available live and on-demand on the BBC iPlayer.
Saturday’s tie on South Tyneside will be given the same treatment. Former Sheffield United midfielder Curtis Woodhouse takes his Bridlington Town side to the North East to face the Mariners.
Commentarty of the game will be provided by Match of the Day’s Conor McNamara and former Manchester United striker Danny Webber.
The game will kick-off at 12.30pm.
