The Buildbase FA Vase Second Round draw has produced some fascinating ties with several former winners and finalists still in the mix.

The first winners this centrury, Southern Counties East League side Deal Town, have been drawn away at Southern Combination outfit Chichester City, while the finalists back in 1986, Southall, have a home tie against Deal`s league rivals Lordswood.

Four-time winners Whitley Bay host Ebac Northern League Second Division side Thornaby, while 2016 winners Morpeth Town are also at home to the winners of the tie between Hallmark Security Leaguers Ashton Athletic and Toolstation Northern Counties East outfit Liversedge.

Another Northern League former winner, Dunston UTS, are at home to NCEL side Worksop Town and two-time Vase runners-up, West Auckland Town, also have a home tie against fellow Northern Leaguers, Billingham Town.

Rugby Town, now members of the Midland League, won the competition in their previous guise of VS Rugby back in 1983 and they must travel to take on the winners of the replay between NCEL side Staveley Miners Welfare and West Midlands (Regional) Leaguers Wolverhampton Sporting.

Rugby`s league rivals, Worcester City, are fancied to go all the way, having voluntarily dropped down four levels in the summer, and they have a home tie against another Midland League outfit, Highgate United.

Ties to be played on Saturday, November 11th.
