Bognor manager Jamie Howell has called for unity ahead of what could be a dramatic last day of the Ryman Premier League season.
Havant and Waterlooville will win the title if they win away to Kingstonian on Saturday.
Bognor need them to slip up and must beat Met Police at home to take the crown.
But Howell isn’t happy with some of the club’s more vocal fans who gave his players stick on Monday as they lost the crucial game with the Hawks to hand Havant last day advantage.
“Some of our supporters are moaning about some of our players,” he said.
“I’m not going to criticise them. We are second in the league – it’s cloud cuckoo land.
“Nobody want to come second, but I’m not having anyone slagging off those players because they have been fantastic.”
He added: “I have to been in the playoffs every season since I have been here, but that doesn’t get talked about that.
“Stranger things haven’t happened and we will see how Saturday plays out.”
