Experienced midfielder Ben Harding is set to make his home debut for Vanarama National League South club Truro City tomorrow as they take on South West Peninsula League side Falmouth Town.

The 32-year-old former MK Dons, Wycombe and Northampton Town man, who joined the White Tigers recently from former league rivals Gosport Borough, has a wealth of Football League experience, so what qualities does he feel that he will bring to the team?

“I like to get on the ball,” he said. “I’ll add physicality in the middle of the park and hopefully get the team playing.

“I’ve settled in really well during these opening few weeks; the training has been tough but strength and conditioning is such a big thing in football these days and the work that we have been doing will certainly stand us in good stead.

“The lads have a good attitude; we need to have that winning mentality because it’s not always about how much you spend. A good team ethic and work-rate can take you a long way and from what I have seen so far, we have these qualities”.
