Football League Ground Bramall Lane To Host League Cup Final

The Toolstation Northern Counties East Football League have announced that the final of this season’s league cup will be played at Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United.

A date has been set for the final to be played on Wednesday 17th May 2017 at the home of the Sky Bet League One club with a 7:30 pm kick off, more details will be known once the finalists are confirmed and the two sides will be required to attend a meeting with a representative of the Blades to discuss and confirm the requirements for the tie.

Making up the semi-finals are Penistone Church who will face the winners of the Quarter-final tie between Hallam and Glasshoughton Welfare, while the other semi-final sees Bridlington Town take on AFC Emley. Those ties will be played on the 12th and 18th April respectively. While the outstanding last eight tie will take place 29th March.

The Northern Counties East Football League thanked the Yorkshire based club for agreeing to stage the final.

Cleethorpes Town are the current holders of the League cup after they beat Tadcaster Albion 3-2, which was played at Garforth Town FC.
