ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Division One club Melton Town have announced the return of former captain Tom Cooper.

Cooper left at the start of the season to try life in the East Midlands Counties League with Barrow Town. However, after a strong start to the season had some tipping them for an impressive campaign, he become disillusioned in recent months.

This led to him desiring a return to his home-town team to help Tony Thorpe and Steve Hendey’s men in their push for a top eight place.

The central defender boasts an impressive playing CV, with spells with Quorn and Holwell Sports as well as Melton and Barrow, and good experience at this level.
