Dulwich Hamlet’s season look likely to depend on the outcome of their backlog of fixtures that is sure to be an acid test of their playoff ambitions.

Hamlet face 5 games in 10 days and until they are required to come out with a healthy total if their Ryman Premier ambitions are to be realised.

They are 5 points away from the top but critically Gavin Rose’s team have up to 5 games in hand on most in the promotion places.

Before the end of March, they face Tonbridge, Kingstonian, Havant and Billericay Town twice.

Rose knows his side will be tested to the max over this period but says there is little they can do about the situation.

“In a way we’ve paid the price for doing well in the FA Trophy but we’re powerless to change things,” the Champion Hill boss said.

“It’s not an ideal situation and the league are not likely to offer any kind of extension so we’ve just got to get on with it and do whatever it takes to come out of that 5 games

“We’re playing Saturday then Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and then the Tuesday. It’s a lot of football but we’ve got confidence in the squad here.”
