Hallmark Security League Nelson have signed Jack Hartley from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North neihbours Colne FC for his second spell at Little Wembley.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell last season with the Blues at which time he was an Accrington Stanley youth player.

Having left Stanley in the summer, the Burnley-born winger signed for Vanarama National League North outfit Chorley before featuring for Colne this season.

Admirals` manager Alex Norwood was thrilled to complete the deal having tracked Hartley’s progress this season, saying: “Jack needs no introduction to Nelson fans after his loan spell at the club last season. He returns to us a year older and a stronger character because of the challenges he’s faced since he was last with us but that, along with his energy, pace and skill, means he returns to us a better player.”

With Hartley joining up with his new team-mates this week ahead of the trip to Congelton Town on Saturday, Norwood is confident Hartley can play a big part in Nelson’s season: “He’ll be a huge asset for us until the end of the season.

“I’d like to thank Steve Cunningham at Colne once again for his support and the trust he has placed in us with regard to Jack’s development”.
