Evo-Stik League South Premier club Banbury United have completed the signing of 20-year-old forward Amer Awadh.

Awadh was born and currently lives in Oxford, coming through the youth system at Vanarama National league South side Oxford City, playing primarily for its feeder team, Uhlsport Hellenic Leaguers Oxford City Nomads, although he progressed to make a few first-team appearances for City.

And he was in the Oxford City side that beat Banbury in the quarter-finals of the Oxfordshire Senior Cup in February 2016.

Awadh has more recently been playing for Fanja SC in Oman.

He has been training with Banbury in recent weeks but the club has had to wait for international clearance which has now been received so that he is now eligible to play.
