Jody Banim, manager of Evo-Stik League Premier club Ashton United, has added two new faces to his squad.
Banim announced the signings of Sam Sheridan from high-flying league rivals Altrincham and Lewis Baines on loan from SkyBet League One side Fleetwood Town until the end of the season.
Sheridan is an experienced central midfielder who has played for a host of clubs, including Stockport County, FC United of Manchester and Altrincham to name a few.
The box-to-box midfielder signs from Altrincham and Banim will be hoping he can help claw the gap on his former club.
Young centre-back Baines joins is a 19-year-old who has featured for Fleetwood in this season`s Checkatrade Trophy and will continue his development at Hurst Cross.
There will be a familiar face for Baines as Ashton also have young striker Daniel Mooney on loan from Fleetwood.
Both players will be available for tomorrow’s game away at Lancaster City.
