Northwood, who will be in the Bostik League South Central next season, have announced the appointment of Dean Barker as their new first-team manager.
Barker joins the Woods from Bostik Premier side Wingate & Finchley, where he managed the club’s under-23 side, guiding them to this season’s Bostik League Development North Division title as well as two cup finals.
The 34-year-old was previously at Cockfosters, for whom he also played as well as with Hoddesdon Town, Hatfield Town, Broxbourne Borough and Sun Postal Sports.
Chairman Ian Barry told the club`s official website: “We look forward to working with Dean; his enthusiasm and his proven ability to develop players was key in our appointment.
“We know that he will be made welcome at Northwood, and we are all looking forward to the new season with hopes high for a good campaign.”
Barker said: “I’m delighted to become the new manager of Northwood FC. It’s a well-established non-League outfit with a proud history and I’m looking forward to working with everyone at the club to have a successful season. I can’t wait to meet all the supporters and make us a community club that everyone enjoys being a part of”.
