Lowestoft Town have announced that Harry Barker has signed for Bostik League North side Norwich United after leaving the Bostik League Premier club.

The full-back signed for Lowestoft initially on loan from Dereham Town before making the move permanent.

He progressed through the Norwich City youth academy and was a member of the 2013 FA Youth Cup-winning side.

The now 22-year-old became a firm favourite with Trawlerboy supporters over the last three years and made 129 appearances.

Norwich United manager Steve Eastaugh told his club`s official Pitchero website: “We are delighted to bring a player of Harry’s quality to the football club. We had hoped that we could have a conversation with him in the summer with him being out of contract but to get him now is really pleasing.

“Harry’s technical ability and defensive attributes will have an immediate positive impact on the group. He is motivated by all the right things and made the signing really simple with his desire to want to play for Norwich United Football Club”.
