Evo-Stik League South club Leek Town`s forward Rob Stevenson has been on trial with SkyBet League One side Blackpool.

The winger or striker has netted 11 goals so far in a season that has seen him be arguably Leek’s stand-out player.

Stevenson has been spotted by the Tangerine’s scouts and was invited to trials at Blackpool this week.

The 24-year-old is now in his second spell with Blues having originally been signed by Lee Casswell in 2011/12 and has also played for Stafford Rangers, Market Drayton Town and Belper Town.

Blues boss travelled up to Blackpool to see watch Stevenson in action and he told the club`s official Pitchero website: “We’ll just have to see how it goes. Rob’s been watched a few times this season and Blackpool decided they wanted to take a good look at him at their own training ground”.
