Bostik League North club Norwich United have completed a coup for the final month of the season by securing the loan signing of prolific striker Matt Blake.
Blake, who left the Planters for Bostik Premier side Leiston two seasons ago, returns on a month’s loan to the club where he scored 112 goals in 148 games during a record breaking spell.
Blake, who will go straight into the squad for tonight’s visit of Hertord Town at Plantation Park, became available after the arrival of former Lowestoft Town striker Jake Reed at Victory Road.
Planters` manager Steve Eastaugh told the club`s Pitchero website: “When the chairman told me he might be available I thought it was a practical joke! We are getting a player we know really well, is prolific at scoring goals in the league above and is match fit as he’s been playing all season.
“His presence alone will be a huge boost to our group, going into a season defining month for the football club”.
