With the signing deadline closing on Saturday, Bostik League South club Greenwich Borough have announced the signing of Junior Aikhionbare.
Aikhionbare joins from league rivals Herne Bay where he scored 13 goals, helping them become a surprise package this season under John Embery and Jermaine Darlington, picking up some very good results and helping achieve a very respectable league position.
Greenwich manager Paul Barnes told the club`s Pitchero website: “Junior is my second signing from Herne Bay, which shows you how well they have done this season. Junior will give me another attacking option and boost our threat, with his pace and power, along with his hardworking character and personality, I believe Junior will strengthen our side and play a big part in the final seven games.”
Departing the club are Chinedu McKenzie, who has joined Bostik North side Haringey Borough, having played thirteen games and scoring 9 goals since joining Greenwich at the beginning of December, and Calvin Ekpiteta having played just two games after his signing early this month. He has joined Haringey`s league rivals Aveley.
