Poole Town have announced that Marvin Brooks has re-signed for the Vanarama National League South club.

Brooks made his Dolphins comeback in Tuesday`s 1-1 draw against Concord Rangers at the Black Gold Stadium.

Brooks was the top scorer for the Dolphins from open play last season, one goal behind set-piece specialist Steve Devlin.

His all-round play and goals have been missed. It is no secret that chairman Chris Reeves and manager Tom Killick fought hard to keep him at the Black Gold and there was great disappointment felt by supporters at the move to Evo-Stik League South West side Salisbury FC.

Reeves told the club`s press officer John Anderson: “I`m absolutely thrilled to get Marvin back. This will be a real boost for the whole club and will, I am sure, be a major factor in assisting the team to get back to the consistency of good results that we have become so used to over the last few years.”

Killick added: “Marvin is just what we need at the moment. He has pace and power and a real physical presence. We understand each other and I am delighted to have him back”.
