Evo-Stik League Premier club Stalybridge Celtic have signed midfielder Jordan Chapell on loan from Vanarama National League side Chester FC until January 6th.

Chapell was signed by current Stalybridge boss Steve Burr for Chester in 2015, making fifteen appearances and scoring 3 times in his first season following a move from Torquay United.

Sheffield-born Chapell, 26, joined his local side Sheffield United as a youngster and made his senior debut in the Carling Cup in 2010.

He made one further appearance for the Blades before being loaned out to both Burton Albion and Torquay, and then he signed for the Gulls on a permanent basis in 2013, where he went on to make fifty-nine appearances and scoring 6 goals.

A brief loan spell at Grimsby Town followed before joining the Blues.

To date he has made sixty appearances for Chester, but only nine this term.
