Caernarfon Back In Welsh Top Flight

Caernarfon Town will be playing in the JD Welsh Premier League once again next season after their promotion from the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance was confirmed on Saturday.

The Cofis won 2-0 away at Caersws, and other results mean they can no longer finish lower than second.

They have 61 points and can only be caught by Holywell Town or Denbigh Town who can get 61 and 62 points respectively.

Holywell play Denbigh on 2nd May so they both can’t achieve that many points. As such Caernarfon are guaranteed to be at least runners-up to either of those two, neither of whom can be promoted.

This means their return to the top flight is confirmed.

The Cofis had already confirmed that Sean Eardley would be continuing as manager for the 2018/19 season.

Also staying will be Eardley`s management team of Richard Davies and Mike Innes.
