A long-awaited return to the Central Midlands League `ground-hop`, and four matches to enjoy on a quiet May Bank Holiday weekend – with a fifth thrown in for free if you want to stay over!
It all starts on Friday with a visit to the Highfield Road home of Swanwick Pentrich Road as they face Aslockton & Orston (7pm). Not been to this one? This is their penultimate match at the ground as the club have decided to fold at the end of the season, and the ground will be redeveloped. This is a real “last chance to do”!
Saturday sees three matches: first up is Holbrook Park as Holbrook St Michaels entertain Linby Colliery Welfare at 11am before the very short trip to AFC Kilburn’s Leedale Park as they host championship-chasing Sherwood Colliery at 1.45pm. From here it’s to south Derby as we head for the Mease Pavilion home of Hilton Harriers as they face another title contender in Hucknall Town at 5pm.
As always, all games are provisional at this stage and subject to change.
There`s an invite for those staying over on Saturday night to the Central Midlands League Cup final between Pinxton and Collingham to be played at Alfreton Town’s Impact Arena ground.
