Club captain and Coalville Town `legend` Sean Bowles will be leaving the Evo-Stik League Premier club and country to live a new life in China with his partner.

Bowles has played an instrumental role in what the club has achieved over the last two decades during his two spells with the Ravens.

Not only has he played in an FA Cup First Round tie and a Wembley final, he also captained the side to play-off success in the 2015/16 season, helping the club reach its highest ever level on the football Pyramid.

He has notched up staggering 389 appearances in a Coalville shirt.

Bowles said: “It’s been a pleasure to have represented such a great club for so many years. Coalville has given me the best memories of my footballing life and I would like to thank everyone associated who have helped me along the way. The staff, management and everyone I have ever played with, as well as the fans have all been brilliant to me.”

Chairman Glyn Rennocks added: “I wish Sean all the best in what’s going to be a big change for him. From a football club`s perspective, he will be a massive loss and a huge personality to replace having been with us for so long and also being the club`s captain. I along with everyone else involved with the club would like thank him for his efforts during his time here”.
