Eighteen-year-old striker Sam Lockley has penned a contract with Total Motion Midland League Premier Division club Rugby Town until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Lockley joined Valley in mid-December from local side Rugby Borough and made an immediate impact scoring the winner on his debut against Boldmere St Michaels.

In his latest outing Lockley netted an impressive 25-minute hat-trick after coming on as a substitute at half-time against South Normanton Athletic.

Lockley played for a season at Butlin Road for Valley’s under-18 side as a 16-year-old before joining the Strachan Football Foundation.
