Evo-Stik League South Premier club Slough Town have confirmed the signing of experienced midfielder Scott Davies.
Davies began his career at Reading and played around 100 games in the League, the majority of which were on loan in League One and League Two with the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Yeovil Town and Bristol Rovers and he also scored the goal that got Aldershot Town promoted back to the Football League for the first time.
Over the past three seasons the Republic of Ireland under-19 and under-21 international has made well over 100 appearances in the Vanarama National League South for Wealdstone, Oxford City and this season for Chelmsford City.
The travelling to Essex has not been ideal and he has been looking for a new challenge and is excited by the prospect of helping the Rebels` promotion challenge.
Slough`s joint boss Neil Baker told his club`s official website: “Having just turned 30 and with great experience under his belt, we feel Scott will be a valuable addition at this stage of the season and, subject to the paperwork going through, we look forward to welcoming him straight in to the squad for the trip to St Ives tonight”.
