Farnborough, members of the Evo-Stik Southern League South next season, have announced their first summer signings in Jefferson Louis, George Jeacock, Will Salmon and goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley.
The vastly experienced Louis, now 39, joins after being with Chesham United last season.
He moved to The Meadow from league rivals Banbury United in December.
Louis is a former Football League player with Oxford United, Bristol Rovers and Mansfield Town.
He also has extensive experience of playing in the top-level of non-League football with Woking, Forest Green Rovers, Wrexham, Crawley Town, Stevenage Borough and Rushden & Diamonds.
More recently he has played for Wealdstone and Staines Town before joining National League South side Oxford City in October 2016, making thirty-one appearances for City through to the end of last season, scoring 8 goals.
He joined Banbury in the summer of 2017 and made twenty-seven appearances and scored 17 goals prior to his switch to the Generals.
Louis told Farnborough`s official website: “After speaking to manager Spencer Day it was a no brainer to go to Farnborough. Obviously, I’ll be the number one striker. At my age I just want to keep playing football.
“I scored 32 goals last season – I just want to keep playing. I don’t want to be second fiddle to someone else. I feel like I’ve proven myself last season and I feel like I’m a proven goalscorer in this league.”
Jeacock, 20, is back at Boro for his second spell on the back of a great last season with Didcot Town in the Evo-Stik South West.
Jeacock, who can be deployed as either a full-back, winger or a striker, signed a professional contract with Oxford United, having completed his scholarship in 2015 and having been with Oxford since the age of 7.
He had `work experience` spells with Didcot and Farnborough and spent time on loan with Vanarama National League North side Brackley Town and Banbury United, where he was a team-mate of Jefferson Louis for a time.
Salmon, 31, moves to Farnborough after a spell with Bostik League Premier outfit Metropolitan Police.
His previous clubs include Aldershot Town, Ebbsfleet United, AFC Telford United, Bath City, Woking and AFC Wimbledon – where he gained experience of playing in the Conference National.
Basingstoke-born Salmon is equally at home in defence or midfield.
Salmon commented: “I’ve been bought into what Spencer’s trying to do for next season. Bringing in experienced players, such as myself, to accompany the younger lads. Hopefully we can be up there challenging for the title!”
Another vastly experienced signing is 35-year-old goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley, who recently left Margate.
The 6`4” shot-stopper boasts having played for England at under-16, 18, 19 and under-20 level and was most notably with Chelsea, Millwall and Newport County as well as numerous loan spells.
He will compete with for the number one jersey with Aaron Bufton, who has agreed to be remain with the club.
As well as Bufton from last season`s squad, CJ Fearn, Sam Hanger, Nathaniel Oseni, Michael Fernandes, Brett Cunningham and Connor Calcutt have agreed terms to return to the Rushmoor Community Stadium.
Meanwhile, Luke King, Lewis Ferrell, Matt Jones, Jack Barton, Manny Omrore and Matt Campbell have been offered terms to return.
Manager Spencer Day summarised: “I’m delighted to add these experienced lads to compliment the exciting current players we have returning.
“They have all bought into what we are trying to do here, and we are all looking forward to the new campaign. I am expecting a couple more to get over the line shortly.”
