Vanarama National League North club Alfreton Town have confirmed that Mason Springthorpe’s loan with Evo-Stik League Premier club Sutton Coldfield Town has been extended by a further month.
The Reds have also announced that Luis Morrison has also joined the Royals on a month’s loan.
Defender Morrison signed a one-year deal with the Reds in July.
He has had an experienced journey throughout football completing his scholarship at Stevenage. He then moved abroad to Scandanavia, competing in Sweden and Finland, gaining his first professional deal and league experience.
He returned to the UK and had spells at Madenhead United and Hereford United, before securing a move to Farnborough in January 2014.
He then took time out of the game before returning to Canvey Island, where he made ten appearances.
Last season Morrison made the switch to Greenwich Borough before moving for a brief time to Altrincham.
Alfreton manager John McDermott: “Luis needed to head out and get game time, he was behind the others in terms of minutes and although he has trained with us, game time is important.”
“It will be good to get some reports back and it will be vital for Luis to get match fit like Brad, Jordan, Malachi and Mason so that we can call on the players during the season if needed. It’s a good move for all parties”.
