Bostik League Premier club Enfield Town have signed 21-year-old former Burnley central defender Taofiq Olomowewe on a month`s loan from Vanarama National league South side Wealdstone.
The 6`3″ Olomowewe was released by the Clarets at the end of the last season having moved to Turf Moor in March 2016 via the Nike Academy.
He represented Bostik North outfit Maldon & Tiptree briefly earlier this season but has been on the books at Wealdstone since October.
He will be available for selection tomorrow subject the completion of all necessary outstanding paperwork.
Manager Andy Leese told the club`s official Pitchero website: “Taofiq is a local boy who will add quality to what we have. He is eager to get underway and playing games for us and I am sure supporters will like his style.”
Meanwhile, Leese has confirmed that Ben Ward-Cochrane has been released and has joined Bostik North side Potters Bar Town.
Ward-Cochrane returned to Enfield in September having spent some time at Loughborough University.
He was originally a regular member of Town’s under-21 side, making four first-team appearances during the 2013/14 season, and has also gained experience at Worcester City.
