Experienced striker Gavin James has signed for Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division club Thatcham Town on dual registration from Evo-Stik League South Premier neighbours Slough Town.

Gavin, who is the brother of Kingfishers’ midfielder Ashleigh, scored over 40 goals for Flackwell Heath in their 2014/15 Hellenic League title-winning season, and also earned an international call-up for St Vincent & The Grenadines.

He has since played for Maidenhead United and Slough.

Also joining the Buildbase FA Vase Semi-Finalists is Josh Maddison – a tough-tackling defender, who is comfortable at centre-back or at right-back.

He has experience in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier with Horndean, Baffins Milton Rovers and AFC Portchester where he was the team captain.

Meanwhile, forward Anthony White has joined league rivals Highmoor-Ibis.

White made eleven appearances for the Kingfishers earlier this season, scoring twice – one of which was the first goal of the club’s Vase run, when he netted the equaliser in the 2-1 win against Southern Combination Leaguers Horsham YMCA.
