Evo-Stik League Premier club Farsley Celtic have announced the signing of right-back Lewis Turner.

The defender, twin brother of midfielder Nathan, has been training with the club for the last few weeks and has now signed first-team forms.

Turner was a regular with Harrogate Town in the Vanarama National League North last season after joining in the summer of 2014 following his release by Leeds United.

He had spent the 2013/14 season on a long loan with Chester FC scoring twice.

And, despite the Blues finishing in the relegation zone, Turner won the club’s player of the year and picked up the fans’ and players’ player of the year awards with his impressive performances.

He has been without a club since the start of the season but is now available for selection in the squad to play against Stafford Rangers today.
