Jim Cooper, manager of Bostik League Premier club Metropolitan Police, has signed attacking midfielder Alec Fiddes from league rivals Kingstonian.

Cooper has been tracking Fiddes’ performances for some time now and was surprised to see that he had left the K’s this week, but glad that it provided the opportunity to approach him to play for the Blues.

Fiddes was playing last season in Spain’s Segunda Division B (third level) for SD Amorebieta, for whom he made twenty-eight appearances in Group II.

London-born, Fiddes has previous experience with Exeter City, Bristol City, Club Lleida Esportiu, Weston-super-Mare, Weymouth, Yate Town and Chippenham Town before moving to play for Amorebieta.

Fiddes will immediately go into the squad for tuday’s game away at Tooting & Mitcham United.
