ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Division On club Long Buckby have appointed former Daventry Town and Woodford United boss Darran Foster as their new manager.

Foster has plenty of experience. He managed Ford Sports – later Daventry United – for six years from 2006 to 2012 when the club folded.

He then moved to Daventry Town as Mark Kinsella’s assistant and took charge after the former Aston Villa man left Communications Park.

Foster was Town boss until October 2014, having taken the Communications Park club to the Southern League Division One Central play-offs and the FA Cup First Round the season before which resulted in a trip to Chesterfield in the First Round.

He then managed Woodford United.

He is now back for a fourth spell with the club as manager.
