Evo-Stik League North club Scarborough Athletic have announced that defender Bailey Gooda`s loan from Vanarama National League North side Harrogate Town has been extended for a further month.
The extension will now see the 20-year-old remain at the Flamingo Land Stadium until the middle of March.
A threat in the air from set-pieces and a good distributor of the ball from the back, Bailey has become a key part of the defence, making eight starts and one substitute appearance since joining prior to the Ossett Town game in December.
The centre-back was pleased to continue his stay at the club. He told the club`s official website: “I spoke with Harrogate this week and it’s great to continue to play at Scarborough for another month.
“The team spirit is really high amongst the lads, we’re on a good winning run since the new year and it’s about keeping that going for as long as possible now.”
Gooda has linked up well with Sam Hewitt in the middle of the Boro defence, with three clean sheets so far during his loan spell.
“Me and Sam have struck up a good partnership, we communicate well together and we’ve keeping things tight at the back over the last few weeks.
My main aim is to play as many games as I can to help Scarborough towards promotion”.
