Bostik League South club Greenwich Borough have signed midfielder Rian McLean from Vanarama National League side Leyton Orient.

The 19-year-old, who can also play in defence, has joined on `work experience`, having previously had spells with Bostik Premier outfits Margate and Hendon.

While McLean has yet to make a first-team appearance for the O’s, he appeared on the bench for the club in their SkyBet League Two defeat to Cambridge United last season.

Manager Paul Barnes told the club`s official Pitchero website: “Rian is a highly-rated prospect who we are delighted to be trusted to look after his development, gaining crucial experience to help him go to the next level when he returns to Orient.

“Rian is someone I have kept track of and has the capability of playing in multiple positions. I believe Rian will enhance our already strong squad and will benefit from his time with us.”

McLean will be available for this weekend`s fixture away to Sittingbourne.
