Halesowen Fined And Owner Banned By The FA

Halesowen Town have been fined and owner Steve Lynch has been banned from all football activity for two years.

The Yeltz have been ordered to pay £5000, with half of the sum suspended for three years, while Lynch’s suspension begins at the start of May.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side has been charged with 12 offences, three of which directly concern Lynch, who attended a personal hearing at Wembley Stadium with the Football Association where the charges were confirmed.

Lynch was in hot water over not disclosing his interest in Halesowen when he was at the now obsolete Eastwood Town.

The other charges surrounded breach of player loan rules in 2012 and issues regarding the reporting of the club’s accounts between 2011 and 2013.

Lynch plans to appeal against his ban due to the “severity of this penalty”.
