Jamie Hardwick has stepped down from his position as manager of Toolstation Northern Counties East League Clipstone following his acceptance of a new role as head of coaching and player development for Scunthorpe United.

Alan Widdowson, formerly Hardwick`s assistant-manager, has accepted an invitation from the Clipstone committee to take over the manager’s position, which he duly accepted.

Hardwick will continue to be a key part of the Clipstone set-up moving forward, supporting Widdowson as part of the management team.

Widdowson told the club`s official website: “I will be doing my utmost to ensure Clipstone is at the heart of the community. I am really looking forward to continuing what Jamie and myself have already started at the club and looking to the future, I will put all my efforts into moving the club forward”.
