Ian Chapman, manager of Bostik League Premier club Burgess Hill Town, has announced the signing of the former Whitehawk midfielder Javier Favarel.
Twenty-six-year-old Favarel started his career at Argentinian First Division side Estudiantes and had a brief spell on loan at Uruguayan Primera Division side Sud America – a move made permanent in 2012.
He then featured for Deportivo Maldonado before joining Whitehawk in July 2016.
Chapman said: “Javier is another good signing for this football club. In the past two weeks we have enhanced the squad with three players of real quality in Javier, Brannon O’Neill and Gary Elphick. These are the type of players to take us forward and that’s what we are all striving for at this football club.
“The bonus for us is that Javier isn’t cup tied and will be involved tomorrow against Dartford”.
