Evo-Stik League South West club Swindon Supermarine have signed left-back Michael Hopkins from league rivals North Leigh.

Hopkins returned to North Leigh in the summer following spells with Evo-Stik league South Premier side Banbury United, where he also had a couple of stints, and current Vanarama National League South outfit Hungerford Town.

Hopkins, who can operate in a number of positions, spent his teenage years in Reading’s academy.

Meanwhile, interim boss Lee Spalding has brought in Kevin Milsom as his assistant.

Milsom had previously been helping the club over the past two seasons with some scouting across the South West and before that he was manager at Toolstation Western Leaguers Bridgwater Town.
