Evo-Stik League North leaders Hyde United have signed attacking prospect Elliot Rokka on loan from Vanarama National league side Tranmere Rovers until the end of the season.
Warrington born, Rokka was with Manchester United’s academy from 13 and then spent a year playing in Portugal with Riomaior, near Lisbon, before signing for Macclesfield Town.
He then moved to Radcliffe Borough where he scored 16 goals last season and was named their young player of the year.
He was signed by Tranmere on a one-year contract in July, with Rovers manager Micky Mellon saying he believed he had the potential to get supporters off their seats with his attacking style.
He has made three first-team appearances so far, which included coming on as a sub in the pre-season friendly against a star-studded Liverpool side which included the likes of Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge.
He has spent time out on loan with Warrington Town and, most recently, Hyde`s league rivals Colwyn Bay, where his spell was extended from December until March 21st.
Striker Ben Deegan has signed from league rivals Glossop North End.
The experienced striker, who has accumulated a huge amount of game nous at FC United of Manchester, Nantwich Town, Ashton United and New Mills, was part of the Warrington Town team that won the NPL Division One North title in 2015/16.
He also played in FC United’s famous victory over Rochdale in the Emirates FA Cup.
Midfielder Dominic McHale also joins on loan from National League North outfit Salford City.
McHale started his career in the Manchester City academy and signed for Barnsley on his release.
A spell at Ramsbottom United followed his release from Barnsley in 2015, followed by a stint at Northwich Victoria.
Last season, McHale turned out for Cypriot Third Division side Achyronas Liopetriou before signing after a trial at Salford during the summer of 2017.
The Tigers have also extended Max Leonard`s loan from National league North side AFC Telford United to the end of the season.
