Vanarama National League South club Chelmsford City have confirmed that midfielder Matthew Johnson has left for Bostik League Premier side Enfield Town.
Johnson joins the Towners with the opportunity of having more playing time.
The 27-year-old joined the Clarets during the summer as one of Rod Stringer’s first signings of the season.
Having made thirty-four appearances for City, Johnson has scored 5 goals for the Clarets, including a contender for goal of the season against Whitehawk.
The former Billericay Town and Braintree Town midfielder struggled to find regular first-team opportunities with the Clarets and was therefore released.
