Steve King has left his post as manager of Whitehawk, who were relegated from the Vanarama National League South.
Brought in mid-season with the task of saving the Hawks from almost certain relegation, King changed almost the entire squad and staged a fantastic comeback second half of the season.
Unfortunately, the Hawks fell at the last hurdle, confirming Hawks relegation to the Bostik Premier League.
Following the relegation, King has been in discussion with the Whitehawk Board and has mutually agreed to leave with immediate effect.
Stepping up to the role following five successful years as manager of the Hawks` under-18 team will be Jude Macdonald.
Havin announced at the weekend that Macdonald had left his role as youth team manager, the club have now promoted him to the top job.
Macdonald has done a tremendous job winning back-to-back titles with the youth team and created one of the strongest youth squads in the South East of England.
Macdonald told the club`s official website: “This is a massive opportunity to take over a club like Whitehawk. Having been with the club for five years, to be involved with the first-team is a huge opportunity and a big challenge lies ahead. I’m looking forward to leading the club as it heads in a new direction and am looking forward to getting started”.
