K`s Bring In Two Former Beavers

Bostik League Premier club Kingstonian have announced the signing of commanding centre-back Claudiu Vilcu and creative winger Kyle Spence.

Both players have signed on a permanent basis from Vanarama National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The 6’4″ Vilcu was named in the Ryman Premier team of the season last term and has a wealth of experience at thay level, having represented both Enfield Town and Wingate & Finchley well over recent seasons; he also had a brief stint at then-National League South outfit Bishop’s Stortford last season.

Spence came through the youth ranks at Fulham, from where he signed for Crystal Palace and then featuring for Coventry City.

He is a former Scotland under-16 international.

K’s manager Craig Edwards said: “I am delighted to sign both of these players. Claudiu is a player I’ve admired for many years, he is up there with the best central defenders in our league, and interestingly he lives in Kingston!

“Kyle is a really exciting talent at only 20 years of age, he has real pace and skill and I’m sure will excite our supporters during the season”.
