Enfield Town announced that three additional players were registered with the club this week and ahead of the big kick-off.

Matt Nolan, Richard Hayward and Adam Martin have all been signed by manager Andy Leese.

Nolan is an 18-year-old goalkeeper who played for Leese at Chesham United and was in the very successful Broxbourne Borough under-18s team last season.

Leese said: “We have high hopes for Matt to develop. He will work with Richard Hayward, our goalkeeping coach, who has also signed forms to give us cover.”

Martin is an experienced player whose former clubs include St Albans City, Slough Town and Chesham.

Leese has also worked with Martin before, and he will provide the Generals with competition in the midfield area.

Unfortunately, he is currently out injured with a long-standing groin injury, and it could be another six weeks or so before he recovers completely.

Leese added: “Mark Kirby and Bobby Devyne also remain on the injured list. Kirbs is having another x-ray on his injured foot, the outcome of which we hope will give us an indication as to his full recovery time, and Bobby is still awaiting an operation on his knee, which I understand is imminent. Both are in good spirits, however, and will be at the game later today”.
