Tadcaster Albion, members of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier East next season, have announced the coup signing of in-form and highly-rated striker Joe Lumsden.
The prolific front man netted 33 times in the Evo-Stik South last season for Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Before that the 26-year-old, who was formerly with Toolstation Northern Counties East League side Armthorpe Welfare, had another red-hot campaign in front of goal which has seen him boast a tremendous record of 53 goals in the last two seasons.
“I’m delighted to have signed for Taddy,” Lumsden told the club`s Pitchero website. “As soon as I spoke to the manager and the club officials everything felt right for me and I wanted to sign straight away. I was very impressed with how professional the set-up is plus the club’s ambitions match my personal aspirations.
“I have followed Taddy for some time now. It’s a great club with a great fan base. I am ready to kick on next season and really go for promotion.”
Manager Michael Morton claims that pulling this deal off is a huge coup for the club especially with a number of high-profile clubs chasing his signature.
“I’m over the moon to sign Joe. Myself, Simon Collins and the Board of Directors have been monitoring him for some time now and to sign a player of his goalscoring pedigree is brilliant and will be massive for the club”.
