Former Tamworth manager Andy Morrell is now playing forEvo-Stik League South Premier club Redditch United.

Morrell has been snapped up by Redditch after being sacked from his role as player-manager by the Lambs a fortnight ago.

The now 43-year-old made over 200 appearances for Wrexham in two spells – the second as player-manager – as well as having spells with Coventry City, Blackpool and Bury.

Last night, Morrell made his debut for the Reds in a league game and scored in the 82nd minute of a 4-2 home win over bottom side Gosport Borough.
