Vanarama National League North club Curzon Ashton have signed young midfielder Jake Dunwoody from Premier League Stoke City on loan for the rest of the season.

Dunwoody signed a professional deal with the Potters in the summer.

The 19-year-old captained the under-18s to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals last year and recently earned his first cap for Northern Ireland at under-21 level – marking an impressive last twelve months for the midfielder.

He experienced a brief loan spell with Evo-Stik League South outfit Leek Town last term before returning to the bet365 Stadium.

Dunwoody committed his future to the Potters after a promising 2016/17 season and is hoping to maintain his development with regular appearances for the under-23 side and forays into the first-team environment.
