Midland League Division One club Paget Rangers will re-locate from Boldmere St Michaels and operate from Evo-Stik League Premier Sutton Coldfield Town`s Coles Lane with effect from the start of the 2018/19 season.
The Royals will lose long-time groundsharers Romulus at the end of the current season to move to their own stadium at Castle Vale.
Sutton Coldfield chairman Nick Thurston told the club`s official Pitchero website: “We are very pleased to secure a new arrangement for Paget to come back to Coles Lane. As soon as Romulus announced their move to Castle Vale, it was important for us to move quickly and find a replacement so that we continued to enjoy senior football at Coles Lane every week. We met with Matt Dainty and his colleagues at Paget and we were impressed with their professionalism and ambition to continue to grow their club and work their way up the football Pyramid. The deal was agreed, and we look forward to seeing them in action on the 3g here at Coles Lane”.
Paget Rangers will continue to play at Boldmere for the remainder of this season and will then begin the new campaign at the home of the Royals.
Paget chairman Matthew Dainty added: “We are delighted to have agreed a groundshare arrangement for Paget Rangers at Coles Lane for the 2018/19 season onwards. After meeting with Nick Thurston, it was clear that a move to the home of the Royals was one too good to miss out on. We firmly believe that by playing from Coles Lane we will be able to achieve our long-term ambitions and to continue to grow the club. I would like to take the opportunity to thank all at Boldmere St. Michaels for being fantastic hosts to Paget Rangers over the past five years”.
